What have graduates said about the program?

We have small groups (10 students is our max), which keeps things intimate, personal, and extremely well supported. Ideal for your individual development.

You will be mentored before, during and after the training. Alumni stay in touch for years beyond their graduation for continued mentorship in their Yoga teaching journey.

We have a diverse group of Teacher Trainers that teach on certain topics they specialize in. All of them live their Yoga in varying ways which inspires our students to develop their own authentic styles. You will become part of this lovely community.

You will have your very own glamping pod, which allows you to have proper personal space for reflection and integration.

Ingredients for our meals and snacks are organic and locally sourced, prepared to optimize your learning experience.

We strongly believe in self care, so we include a Holistic Treatment (massage, reiki, reflexology, indian head massage) of your choice on Day 11.

You will begin practicing to teach within the first days of Teacher Training. By the end of the course you will feel confident in holding space and guiding a yoga class.

You'll even be given the option to teach a "real class" to the local community if you feel comfortable doing so.

Our training uses a Written Evaluation as well as a Practicum (an evaluated practice class), so that you will know where your strengths lie and where you can focus on development.

We focus on living a Yogic Lifestyle and development of your Self-Practice alongside with the training.

You will receive 10% off all future trainings and retreats you attend at Cara Creek Eco Lodge.

There is a Business of Yoga Workshop and an opportunity to have professional photographs taken in the final days of the Training to start you off on your Yoga Teaching Journey if you wish to have them.

For 18 years I have found a sense of peace and healing through Yoga, and I'm humbled to share this ancient and rich philosophy. I’m eternally grateful to live, practice and teach here at Cara Creek Eco Lodge. By blending a Yogic Lifestyle with an Off Grid Lifestyle I’ve realized that living Yogically and living sustainably are in fact one in the same.

My intentions for facilitating 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings are: to honor the traditions and philosophy of Yoga to the highest respect; to bridge the gap between the traditions and the Western way of life; to hold space for the authentic development of each individual trainee in their journey. Ultimately the trainees have their own self practice and a unique way of sharing Yoga with those they connect with via Yoga Classes and in fact life!

Yoga is a practice to know yourself more deeply, more compassionately. This awareness of self leads to a more meaningful life and resonates out to our world which spreads peace.

Yoga has allowed me to be a student for life. I feel grateful for all who have impacted my journey thus far and to those that will come - teachers, Gurus, students, family, friends, and most of all life experiences.

Our Off Grid Yoga School alumni group is like a family that stays connected long after you complete the program. Mentorship starts from the moment you register and continues for the rest of your Yoga journey.

Isaac

Yoga Teacher & Breathwork facilitator

Yoga is and remains the path I have taken toward healing. For over 20 years I’ve tried and tested many techniques from ashtanga yoga to transcendental meditation, and the teachings of various gurus and various plant medicines.

Like so many, my life has been about deconditioning from the traumatic influences of an unwell society. I’ve met so many inspiring and compassionate people along the way and discovered many gifts on the other side of healing. I can only feel gratitude for the fierce grace that has blessed his path.

The practices I share have helped me so much and I have complete faith in the methods that I practice and teach. I never teach anything I have not experienced for myself. I teach in the hope that what I share will in some small way contribute to helping the student find more peace within themselves, and thus contribute to making the world a better place.

Sandy

Yoga Teacher & Mindfulness Coach

Sandy completed her YTT at Off-Grid Yoga School in 2019. Since then, she has been teaching Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin yoga in English and Portuguese.

She discovered the power of mindfulness during her early adolescence and has been exploring ways to apply mindfulness in her daily life ever since. Years later, Sandy made the connection between mindfulness and yoga, and since completing her training, she has strived to share what she learns during her personal mindfulness journey with her students in her yoga classes, while also gaining endless insight and perspective from them.

Sandy has also participated as a guest teacher at Off-Grid Yoga School's YTT in 2021 and 2020, where she explored the concept of mindfulness as well as a variety of application techniques that students can take away with them and visit throughout their lives.

Franzi at golden hour smiles at the camera

Franzi began her journey to healing with her study of psychology and ultimately graduating as a counsellor in Vienna. Dismayed by the narrow parameters that defined psychological health in the Western system she travelled to India where she worked with orphaned children. There she met her teachers - yoga therapists Acharya Venkatesh and Acharya Hema, with whom she studied for three years.

Franzi has experienced a profound return to health through the kriyas and practices learned under their guidance. Vipassana has also been a great part of her practice.

Her teaching is based on the therapeutic approach of traditional hatha yoga.

Healing through the observation and assimilation of sensation in order to release the blocks causative of injury and degeneration.

Teacher Sandhiya practicint mantra

Sandhiya is a South African born Indian, now living in the UK for over a decade where she qualified as a yoga teacher.

Her Hindu background allows a natural weave of traditional bhakti (devotional) and non-physical yoga practices to feature in her classroom experiences. These include mantra and chakra sadhana (practice) which, from a personal point of view, have been her companion through many internal/external shifts and transitions. Seva (being in service) is her motivation, living in loving service to the divine.

Sandhiya looks forward to sharing simple, deep and profound ways of being and becoming with you.

Helen sits on the beach with her camera

My journey as a Yoga teacher began at Cara Creek when I joined the teacher training in 2021.

I initially wanted to deepen my own practice and understanding of yoga but I found a love of sharing yoga with others through the wonderful teachers on the course.

I came to yoga through chronic pain and a desire to holistically manage my hypermobile body. As I have worked through chronic pain, yoga has been the one thing I am able to turn to that helps both my mind and body in times of stress and times of power. I am passionate about teaching others about hypermobility and guiding yoga classes with a focus on strength and alignment rather than flexibility.

I also offer optional yoga photoshoots towards the end of the teacher training, guiding participants with an awareness of mindfulness and grounding to create an authentic and present image.

Yoga teacher Seba

Seba

Tantric Hatha Yoga teacher, Homeopath

Seba has been teaching yoga for 14 years, first becoming certified to teach in 2010 and has been inspired to teach continuously ever since. She has been studying pranayama with Shri O.P. Tiwari in India since 2016. She is also a certified teacher and dedicated practitioner of traditional Tantric Hatha Yoga, originally learning for over 500 hours with The Practice.

For 3 years, she studied a Professional Homeopathy Course. This took her deeper into the alternative approach to health. From here, she broadened her physical skills and sensory perception by studying healing abdominal organ massage.

Seba leads international retreats, intensives and workshops. By combining her knowledge and skills, Seba’s approach can be described as a holistic approach to thriving in life. She uses an integration in vision between tools and traditions to heal and empower students to get in touch, and ultimately rest, within the one true self.

Women_Wild_Free_Manon(23of64).jpg

Manon has been a Vinyasa flow yoga teacher for over a decade and had her own yoga studio in Bristol.

Over the years and especially after having her first daughter now almost 9 years ago her yoga practice became more gentle and intiuitive following the flow and the needs of her body.

Over the last 10 years she has studied with various teachers to deepen her understanding of natural movement. Her classes invite students to go inwards, exploring postures from the inside out.

Sandra is an experienced yoga student and certified yoga teacher since 2018.

She loves emphasizing on the internal perception and experience by combining different types of bodywork such as Critical Alignment yoga and

Somatics.

Music is an important part of her life. Ever since her childhood, she loves to sing and play various instruments.

For her, yoga and singing mantras is a way to dive deeper into the Self. It is her way of slowing down, heal, letting go and trust. Taking the time, listening to her inner wisdom, surprise herself, be touched and connect to all there is.
