THE SACRED SWEAT LODGE

The Inipi, also known as the Sacred Sweat Lodge or Temazcal, is an ancient ceremonial practice with deep historical and cultural roots. The origins can be traced back to the indigenous peoples of North and South America, particularly Native American tribes who have passed down this sacred tradition for generations. 

The Sweat Lodge Ceremony holds immense spiritual significance and is considered a powerful tool for healing, purification, and spiritual connection. The practice is deeply intertwined with the Native American's cultural heritage, worldview and deep connection with the natural world.

This 4 day workshop is open to all individuals who wish to embark on a path of self-healing and exploration, seeking to find their inner truth and connect with their authentic selves. Through each of the Elements, you will learn to use and understand this ancient wisdom that holds the magic of the Sweat Lodge.

Guided by our Mexican friend, Kauil Kauac Camacho, who has dedicated over 15 years to this practice, this sacred tool that combines the traditions of Mexica, Toltec, and Lakota will be deeply explored. Through a simple yet profound methodology, you will gain a deep understanding of the Sweat Lodge and its transformative power.

Over the 4 days, we will delve into the key elements encompassing this wisdom that give rise to this ceremony, liberating ourselves from dogmatic and traditional limitations. We will explore the very essence of this practice, from its fundamental structure to the different ways in which it can be shared.

No prior experience is required, as all that is needed is an open mind to receive the essence of the wisdom imparted. We will learn various precautions and practical care while gaining a deep understanding of the philosophy and wisdom that underpin this practice, ensuring an unforgettable and transformative experience.

Throughout the program there will be nourishing meals, opportunities for self-reflection, and time spent in nature to enhance the healing and spiritual journey. It is important to approach this sacred medicine with reverence, an open heart, and a willingness to embrace personal growth and transformation. 

Each day will consist of at least 2 Sweat Lodges.

Day 1 - Earth:

We will start with a welcoming circle and grounding exercise to set the intention for the retreat. We will then work with our hands in the earth, learning the essential aspects of the Sweat Lodge's structure and the related geometry, thus connecting with the Element of Earth. After a break, we will prepare for the opening of the Sacred Space of the Temazcal. After dinner, we will conclude with a traditional sweat lodge ceremony, and an integration circle.

Day 2 - Water:

We will then spend time immersed in water, connecting with our emotions and the Element of Water through subsequent techniques and exercises, with a lunch break. In the evening, another Sweartlodge , followed by dinner and integration.

Day 3 - Fire:

We will start the day with light breakfast and then we prepare to enter another lodge, followed by lunch. We will then work with the Element of Fire, engaging in dynamic exercises and practices related to it. The end of the day we will enter the Sweat Lodge and integrate the day's work before dinner.

Day 4 - Air:

We will focus on the Element of Air and our voices. We will begin the day with the Sweat Lodge. Afterwards, we will explore the powerful tool that is our voice, traditional, channeled and sacred chants, and the management of spatial energy through them. 

We understand that offering the medicine of the Sweat Lodge requires years of experience to transmit. It is not a practice that can be learned in a course. That is why we developed this program to provide you with practical tools that will help you embark on your journey into this beautiful and profound practice!
