About Ruth

Ruth is the founder of Women's Medicine Retreats. She has been running day retreats, classes, workshops and mentors people through challenging transitions. Her clients often feel stuck or lost, grieving, traumatised, overwhelmed or are seeking a new direction / purpose in their lives.  

Working with both groups and individuals, Ruth assists people to find joy and purpose in their lives by helping them remember and love who they are.  

Ruth is also the founder of Moon medicine, a medicine practice originally started by Ruth in 2013 - of going into a silence every menstruation for the first 3 days. This is a time to focus on cultivating Yin practices over Yang to bring balance and prosperity to everyday life and reconnect to our true nature.  We are nature!  

Ruth has had a dedicated daily yoga and meditation practice for 25 + years. Today Ruth is practicing Yin and Vinyasa restorative Yoga and Vipassana Meditation. 

In more previous years after a back injury that left her unable to walk for 6 months she delved deeply into the medicine of music. Music has become a lifeline and spiritual practice for Ruth. She now shares her original medicine songs in healing prayer circles in communities in Ibiza, Portugal and the UK. She is now combining these practices with her deep need to bring forth more love and joy into the world.

Ruth sees a direct link in how we treat our own bodies as to how we are treating our Mother Earth. She is passionate about holding a safe and welcoming space to lovingly reconnect to ourselves, each other and our earth for the good of all.

Accommodation options:

Tetra-pod

There are 4 of these, each with 1 double bed.

Single occupancy : Only £1080 per person, including food, accommodation, daily schedule and practices, transfers from Carregal do Sal, excursions into nature and access to facilities at the venue.  Also available for couples get in touch if needed

Tri-pods:

There are 4 of these, each with 2 single beds.

Twin share occupancy: Only £990 per person* including food, accommodation, daily schedule and practices, transfers from Carregal do Sal, excursions into nature and access to facilities at the venue.  *Preferably you are booking with someone to share with; alternatively you will be paired up with another participant.

Penta-pods:

There are 4 of these, each with a 1 single bed. 

Single occupancy: Only £900 per person including food, accommodation, daily schedule and practices, transfers from Carregal do Sal, excursions into nature and access to facilities at the venue.

How To Book  

STEP 1:  Email Ruthlornaking@gmail.com to book, stating your preferred accommodation option  

STEP 2:  You'll be sent a retreat participant questionnaire for completion  

STEP 3:  Following review of your questionnaire responses, you'll be sent Paypal and bank account details.  50% deposit is required to secure your spot and accommodation. 

Note - Deposits are non-refundable but you may be able to transfer onto another retreat or event.  

STEP 4:  Settle any remaining balance by 18 August 2023.
