Só Alegria means “Only Joy.” However, this retreat is not about forcing happiness or turning away from the tender, difficult or complex parts of being human. In fact, it is about facing and feeling them in order to reconnect with the joy that remains beneath all of life’s challenges.
Returning to Cara Creek in 2027, Brazilian mother-and-daughter medicine women Deise and Luiza will guide an intimate eight-day journey of ceremony, medicine music, embodiment, integration and connection.
Held within the wild and nurturing landscape of Cara Creek, the retreat includes three plant medicine ceremonies: two night ceremonies and one daytime ceremony. Spacious days between the ceremonies allow time for rest, grounding, therapeutic support and the gentle integration of what arises.
